The Centre for Banking Studies was established on the 20th of May, 1967, as a partnership between the Association of Banks in Lebanon (ABL) and Saint-Joseph University in Beirut.
Since then, the Centre for Banking Studies has offered a wide range of services in professional training certification to employees in Lebanese banking industry.
The Centre is located in Beirut in the Campus of Social Sciences of Saint-Joseph University at Huvelin Street.
In the frame of its strategy aiming to develop human resources' skills and competencies in banking institutions, the Centre has worked to:

Renew and develop the programs of both cycles of certification training :
In cooperation with the ''Centre de Formation de la Profession Bancaire'' CFPB- Paris.

Start the program of the Professional Specialized Certificates in a series of disciplines considered of major importance for the banking profession.
The Centre for Banking Studies is administered by a Board of Directors
composed of six members:
The President of the ABL and the Rector of Saint-Joseph University who are de facto and respectively
The President and the Vice President of this Board as well as 2 members designated by the ABL's Board of Directors and 2 other members designated by the Rector of the USJ.
The members mandate is of two renewable years.
