The Association of Banks in Lebanon issued the following press release:

Following the Cabinet’s decision to declare a general mobilization including all comprehensive preventive measures in order to face the COVID-19 pandemic and the calling on citizens to stay home, the ABL Board of Directors announces that banks’ branches will be closed on Monday the 16th of March 2020. In the meantime, the administrations will have the chance, in coordination with the monetary authorities, to regulate the work in banks during the period between 16 and 29 March included in the measures of the Cabinet’s decision. The ABL will consecutively share with the public opinion all the steps taken to help the citizens overcome the difficulties of this situation.
