Mr. Saad Azhari, Chairman and General Manager of BLOM Bank S.A.L., held a press conference at its headquarters in Verdun to launch the new eCASH service. He welcomed the attendees stating that the launch of this service comes in the context of the Bank permanent strive to always provide the best and the easiest of banking services based on new technologies. He added that the concern behind all the endeavors is to enhance the customers “Peace Of  Mind” when communicating and interacting with the bank.

Mr. Elias Aractingi, Deputy General Manager of BLOM Bank, added that the new eCash service enables customers to send Cash through any device connected to the Internet to anyone. The recipient can withdraw money through any BLOM Bank ATM without the need for a card or a bank account.

With this advanced service, customers can make instant transfers from anywhere in the world to any person in Lebanon. It is not necessary that the recipient should be a BLOM Bank customer; all this person has to do is go to the nearest BLOM Bank ATM and withdraw the money. What makes this new service special is its practicality and its high level of security. It is so easy to handle that the transfer can happen in a few simple steps.

Mr. Aractingi finally added that this high-tech service is the first of its kind not only in Lebanon but in the Middle East as well.
