December 14 2012

Fransabank was honored with the “Social Economic Award 2012 – Women Empowerment” during First Protocol’s second-year annual gala dinner held at “La Salle des Ambassadeurs”, in collaboration with the Central Bank, the Association of Banks, the Federation of the Chambers of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture in Lebanon, the Association of Industrialists and the Lebanese Franchise Association, and in the presence of key economic and political public figures.

This award came as recognition to Fransabank’s leading role in empowering women through launching the first-of its kind financial solution to Lebanese women through “Najah Loan”, in collaboration with the National Commission for Lebanese Women, as a new step towards the empowerment of Lebanese women through helping them finance micro credits and small to medium-sized projects.

On this occasion, Mrs. Dania Kassar, Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications Division, represented Fransabank in receiving the Award trophy from the Minister of Economy and Trade, Mr. Nicolas Nahas, accompanied by Stephanie, the heroin of Fransabank’s 90 years TV Commercial. She commented: I am pleased to represent Fransabank Group today, an institution that takes pride in its heritage and legacy of innovation in the banking sector to develop and grow the Lebanese economy as well as the potential of our fellow citizens. This embodies the leading role Fransabank has been playing in terms of its corporate social responsibility role towards the communities where we operate for decades.” “I am equally pleased to be accompanied by Stephanie, who walked with us throughout our rich history in our 90 Years TVC and is joining us today to celebrate this achievement and to vow with us for more promising tomorrows for all of us in this remarkable ceremony,” Kassar concluded.

Fransabank has been also acknowledged for the second year in a row by Lebanon Opportunities as the awardee for the “Widest National Outreach” for Fransabank Group’s continuous branch expansion strategy, which was recently translated by the opening of Fransabank’s luxurious Foch Branch, bringing the total number of the Fransabank Group branches to 110 spread across all of the Lebanese territory and 144 branches across 9 countries in the world.
