Higher Institute of Banking Studies ((ISEB) grants the Excellence Academic Award

The Higher Institute of Banking Studies (ISEB) granted academic excellence award for the academic year 2013-2014 to the student Elias Yazbek, who obtained very good grades in the higher management banking degree, in the auditorium of the Institute, on the campus of Social Sciences at the University of St. Joseph in Beirut.

Both Saint Joseph University Rector, Professor Salim Daccache and chairman of the board Institute, Dr. Joseph Torbey delivered speeches on this occasion.

Professor Daccache underlined the importance of appreciating the outstanding students as this would encourage other students to pursue their higher education and enhance their careers.  He stressed in his speech on the new approach, which will be followed regarding the Institute of Social and discretionary grants, in the fields of BA and Masters in all disciplines other banking.

For his part, Dr. Torbey congratulated the outstanding student and praised the dynamism which was created by two sectors that made the glory of Lebanon and these sectors are education and culture as well as the banking sector which is the backbone of the Lebanese economy.

He also praised the resilience of the Lebanese financial sector which owes its achievement to the high qualification and resource fullness of the banking administration as well as to the regulatory authorities.

The award was presented by Dr. Torbey and Professor Daccache in the presence of a number of members of the Governing Council of the Institute and its director, Dr. Fadwa Mansour as well as other distinguished guests. The event was also attended by the professors and students of the institute as well as the colleagues of Yazbek from BBAC.  The distinguished student also received a cash award on this occasion.

In conclusion Elias Yazbek delivered a speech thanking the management of the Institute and the bank’s administration which gave him the chance to specialize in the institute.  The ceremony ended with cocktail reception at the campus garden.
