A delegation from ABL Board of Directors headed by Chairman Salim Sfeir paid a visit to Her Excellency Minister of Interior Mrs. Raya El Hassan to discuss with her the possibility of providing adequate security conditions around bank branches, in order to facilitate the resumption of the employees’ work in a comfortable and reassuring environment. Her Excellency promised to discuss the issue with the concerned security agencies. In this context, the Association of Banks in Lebanon is currently working on establishing a clear mechanism to facilitate the handling of clients in the present exceptional circumstances, and is also maintaining contact with Federation of Syndicates of Bank Employees to resume work in the banking sector as fast as possible. Meanwhile, banks will continue to meet the clients’ liquidity needs through ATMs and provide Call Centers’ services in order to respond to the clients’ enquiries and requests.
