In response to the press release published by a number of private hospitals in which they announced that they are “incapable of receiving patients and may suspend surgical treatments and procedures soon, due to shortages of medical equipment and medicines”, given that importers are demanding payments in cash, the Association of Banks in Lebanon announces that banks are ready to insure the necessary liquidity in Lebanese Pounds to hospitals in return for check and banking cards. The ABL asks all hospitals to continue offering their different services to all citizens.
