On Wednesday the 29th of April 2020, Prime Minister Hassan Diab received a delegation of the Association of Banks in Lebanon at the Grand Serail. The discussions featured the current financial and monetary situation, as well as the banking sector. Diab informed the delegation that the rescue plan of the Lebanese economy will be submitted to the Association as soon as it is approved by the Cabinet. The ABL announced that it will submit its own solutions to the economic and financial crisis to the government within 15 days. Furthermore, the ABL strongly condemned the attacks on private and public properties, mainly banks headquarters and branches, adding that these acts are completely unacceptable and unjustified at all levels. The delegation called upon Prime Minister Diab to put an end to these acts as soon as possible.
