Concerning the violations and breaches that bank branches in some Lebanese regions have been subject to and that are contrary to the laws in force and the legitimate reform initiatives and suggestions, and as a denouncement of the condemned attack on BLOOM Bank branch in “North Halba” that included threats to the life and safety of the employees and clients, the Association of Banks in Lebanon calls on operative banks to close all their branches in the region of “Akkar” until further notice.
